ABOUT ST. PATRICKS

St. Patricks was formerly known as Reviewfields and was built in 1850 as a model farm by the Gough family, and later became an agricultural school for local farmers. The Centre was purchased by the Bishop of Ossory in 1879 who passed it onto the Sisters of Charity.

The campus has a long history in providing supports to vulnerable children and adults since 1880.

In 2000, St. Patricks Centre Kilkenny was incorporated; with the Sisters of Charity moving out from the Campus in 2018. The Campus offered large and spacious amenities that facilitated residential and day supports, including a large sports hall and onsite swimming pool. In line with National policy St. Patricks Centre has supported the people who loved there to move into their own homes within the community and as such the campus has been fully vacated since 2020.
